THIS EVENT IS RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 20 DUE TO HURRICANE MATTHEW Please join Smithsonian WaterWays Exhibition's ongoing presentations with a Panel of Local Experts on South Florida Water Issues and Solutions where we will be discussing sea level rise, climate change, freshwater challenges, and conservation efforts. The Panel members include scholars and researchers from Miami's Waterkeeper, Florida International University, University of Miami, and the Frost Science Center. I will be acting as moderator. Featured Talk for Smithsonian Waterways Exhibition

I will be giving a free lecture tonight at the Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs on Combining Science and Photography: advocating water stories through imagery. Included last minute change is up to date information on the Standing Rock Water Protectors in North Dakota as I am just returning from the field there. Please come out if you are in the area and want to learn a bit more about the Nile, Mara, Mekong, and Missouri river basins and the people who live there where changes to water are changing their lives.
