Art

I explore and express through a variety of mediums, so to say I am a photographer, a painter, an illustrator depends on the project and the season. I sometimes employ art in my science practices. Portraits of the people I write about puts a face to otherwise abstract concepts in the research. Illustration has been useful to transcend concepts for a larger audience, particularly with children. Public murals serve to share storytelling about specific plants and other beings, about histories and lived experiences. I also make art because I must. Sometimes the process is enough. Enjoy exploring these collections and please reach out if you want to collaborate, license, buy, or otherwise connect.

My work is held in collections throughout the North and South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, East Africa, and Southeast Asia. My work has been exhibited in the US in New York, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, New Orleans, and Ihanktonwan Territory. Click here for a full list of exhibitions: solo and group shows.
